Probably the last outdoor meeting of the year for me, glad it stayed dry all day cause my roof ain't that watertight hehe....The rag took a top 5 aircooled award.... Which wasn't that hard since there were about 15 aircoolers in the whole show but cool none the less!!! Oh, That ulgly bastard in the green Adidas jacket is me btw.....

Das Drag Day Report

What a day, just out of control: way too much, HP's, petrol, turbo's, crazy burnouts + smoke and wheelies....lots of wheelies! Left home at 6.15 in the morning, a 2,5 hour drive followed.
When we arrived at the Bitburg-airport, the campsite was just awaking and some teams had begun warming up their motors, LOUD!!
Also the whole atmosphere at the old airport is very cool with all the old hangars + bunkers and shit...
At first it was pretty chilly so the track was cold and the racers had no grip and jumped all over the place... but when the sun finally broke through the clouds around 12.00 o'clock the cars had better grip due to the hot and sticky asphalt. 

All in all really good times were set but also a lot of cars broke down right at the startline, broken driveshafts, clutches, blown up motors, leaky gaskets, and blue smoke clouds...always fun to see ;-)

Black 63 for Sale!

Heb deze Dikke 63-er te koop voor een goede kennis van me!
Is de afgelopen jaren bij mij in onderhoud geweest, laswerk, geslammed en versmald enzzz.. dus ik ken deze van binnen en buiten. Een plaatje om te zien!

Enkele jaren geleden volledig body-off geweest en met veelal nieuwe kwaliteitsspullen weer opgebouwd:

-Het gepoedercoate chassis is nog steeds in topstaat.

-Keiharde body welke is gespoten in diepzwart, lak in goede staat.

-Schitterend créme/bruin (half leder half stof) en onbeschadigd interieur met porsche zetels voorin met bijbehorende stoffering op de vloer.

-Origineel opgebouwde 1600cc dubbelpoorts revisiemotor, welke loopt als een trein en lekvrij is.

-2 inch versmalde en verlaagde vooras, achteras 1 tand verlaagd.

(voor de échte lage look: dropped spindels en smallere as kunnen worden geplaatst in overleg)

-Volledig nieuwe remmen achter de Flat-4 BRM velgen met Toyo banden

-Mooi chroomwerk rondom

-kever ligt op 12 volt


Ook vele accessoires:

- Banjo stuur ivoorkleurig

- Robri steenslagset

- achterruit jaloezie

- dakrek

- monstertacho

- EMPI trigger shifter

- RVS bumpers(!) incl. EMPI bumperbars

- bermlampje op linker B-stijl

Kortom een prachtige 63-er Restolooker in topstaat waar u nog jaren zonder problemen in kunt rijden, overtuig uzelf en kom eens langs voor een bezichtiging/proefrit.

Choppers, beer (lots of it!!), and some other crazy motherfuckers is all we need....the weather was the worst in years during this event. But F#ck it, it was off the chain...
