The Harley-D (paint!)
It has been a bit hectic in the shop the last few weeks, loads of parts and tools flying around everywhere to get everything ready for paint.....this weekend the painted stuff came back from the paintshop in a shiny coat of black metallic. I'm stoked! Looks absolutely sick in comparison to the old situation.....The final build-up can begin!!

Epox prime time!!!
Alright, so the frame went to the blasters remember? It came back from that last week, nicely blasted and painted in a zincphosphate primecoat.
Some final filler on the rear fender and a shitload of sanding paper (grid 60 dry to 600 wet) and elbowgrease were needed to get this baby in top shape for some black paint with a course metallic from das Porsche haus!
Next week the painter will do it's thing on the: frame, backfender, frontfender, handlebars, tank, schocks and the 2 sidecovers. After that FINAL assembly! Can't wait....
parts parts parts.....
fabbed up some mini spring retainers in order to disassemble the rear shocks. they work like a champ!
Home made side mount....
Everything in a nice fat coat of expoxy.....
Frame and tank before sanding and final filler.....a thin coat of epox was shot followed by final sand with 600 grid wet...

The Harley-D (Engine Werks)
Last update was the engine + tranny next to the bike, from that the project moved on and I kicked it up a notch...frame went to the blaster, engine trans split halves and are being painted + detailed.... check out the progress so far:
Bike minus block+tranny....
Stripped down the block, fully brushed, degreased and sanded
Masked off the top rockerboxes and shot some VHT primer on the naked Aluminium areas....
Flatblack VHT Engine Enamel....what a difference with that f%gly orange color....
Smooth....
Quickly polished valve cover...tops of cooling fins will be polished also....seriously cool look if you ask me?!
and almost fully assembled again, with some fresh polished parts...
